About the role

SGSN runs the end-to-end IT. We're looking for a Senior System Administrator who can own the Microsoft 365 / Azure environment, keep a 24x7 mortgage operation running cleanly, and act as the senior escalation point for infrastructure across the wider SGSN portfolio.

This is a hands-on senior role. You'll administer identity and endpoints, manage cloud infrastructure, harden the environment against the security and compliance bar a US mortgage lender is held to, and mentor junior IT staff. What you'll own

Identity & Microsoft 365 administration

Administer Azure AD / Entra ID and the full Microsoft 365 tenant across the domain portfolio Configure and troubleshoot SAML SSO integrations for third-party applications

Manage Exchange Online: shared mailboxes, distribution groups, mail flow, and notification mailbox provisioning at scale

Run license audits and optimize M365 licensing across users and brands

Administer Mimecast and email security tooling; investigate and resolve email deliverability issues (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, spam/junk placement, SendGrid and M365 sending paths)

Endpoint management

Manage Intune / Company Portal enrollment and compliance for Windows, macOS, and iOS devices

Troubleshoot enrollment failures, configuration profiles, and post-enrollment issues (local admin, profile install, conditional access)

Own device lifecycle: provisioning, patching, hardening, and decommissioning

Cloud & server infrastructure

Administer Azure infrastructure: Virtual Machines, Function Apps, storage accounts, networking, and PostgreSQL Flexible Server / SQL Server

Support AWS workloads where they intersect the environment (EC2, VPN, supporting services)

Manage DNS across the domain portfolio and coordinate changes safely

Own SFTP infrastructure and automation supporting the loan-delivery and post-closing pipelines with investors

Maintain VPN access (WireGuard)

Reliability, monitoring & security

Monitor infrastructure health, respond to incidents, and drive root-cause analysis and prevention

Maintain backup, recovery, and business-continuity readiness for a 24x7 operation

Support SOC 2 compliance: enforce access controls, logging, evidence collection, and remediation of findings (Vanta / Scrut)

Manage certificates, secrets, and privileged access following least-privilege principles

Leadership

Act as senior escalation for the IT / infrastructure team

Mentor junior administrators and document runbooks and standard operating procedures

Partner with engineering, mortgage operations, and compliance to plan and land infrastructure changes with minimal disruption

What we're looking for

Required

6+ years in system / infrastructure administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity

Deep, hands-on Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra ID administration

Strong Azure cloud experience (VMs, networking, storage, Function Apps); working AWS knowledge

Intune / endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and iOS

PowerShell scripting for automation and administration; comfort with SQL Server / PostgreSQL

Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, VPN, firewalls, SFTP, email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)

Demonstrated incident response and root-cause discipline

Explicit written and spoken English; reliable overlap with US business hours

Preferred

Experience supporting a regulated environment (mortgage, fintech, healthcare) and SOC 2 / ISO 27001 programs

Exposure to mortgage / lending systems and terminology (LOS, Lock Desk operations)

SAML SSO, Mimecast, SharePoint / SPFx, or Microsoft Graph experience

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft AZ-104 / AZ-500, MS-102, MS-700)
