**Role Description The Senior – Statutory Audit role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. This role involves leading and executing statutory audits for startups and MSMEs, including planning audit engagements, assessing internal controls, performing substantive testing, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards. The professional in this position will review financial statements, identify risks and control gaps, document audit findings, and prepare high-quality audit reports and working papers.

Day-to-day responsibilities also include coordinating with client finance teams, resolving audit queries,



supporting tax and compliance reviews related to audited entities, and contributing to process improvements within the audit function. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships while upholding professional ethics and quality s tandards. Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong statutory audit and internal audit skills, including planning, execution, documentation, and reporting.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and audit-related regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess experience with tax advisory and compliance, particularly in areas linked to audited financial statements.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with company law, ROC filings, and corporate governance principles.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in audit and accounting tools, MS Excel, and other relevant financial software.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with client stakeholders.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is highly preferred; relevant experience in statutory audit, especially with startups or MSMEs, is an advantage.
