We are looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist to manage fabric and garment sourcing activities across domestic and international vendor networks. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of knit and woven garments, excellent commercial acumen, and the ability to build strategic vendor partnerships while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities

Technical Sourcing

Source fabrics, trims, and finished garments from approved domestic and international vendors. Possess in-depth knowledge of knit and woven fabrics, garment construction, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and garment washes. Evaluate fabric quality, garment workmanship, and production feasibility. Coordinate sample developments and approvals with vendors and internal teams. Work closely with Design, Merchandising, Production, and Quality teams throughout product development.

Vendor

Management

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors across India and Bangladesh. Identify and onboard new suppliers based on business requirements. Monitor vendor performance on quality, pricing, lead time, and compliance. Ensure adherence to agreed timelines and production schedules. Commercial & Costing

Prepare and evaluate garment costing sheets. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, and lead times with suppliers. Drive cost optimisation initiatives without compromising product quality. Analyse costing components and recommend value engineering opportunities. Compliance & Quality





Ensure vendors comply with Buyer Development (BD) compliance requirements and company quality standards. Coordinate audits, corrective actions, and supplier evaluations where required. Work proactively with Quality teams to minimise production issues. Systems & Reporting

Maintain sourcing records, costing sheets, and vendor databases. Prepare sourcing MIS and reports using Microsoft Excel. Work on PLM systems for product development and sourcing coordination. Exposure to ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Knit and Woven fabrics Garment construction and manufacturing processes Fabric processing, garment washes, and finishing techniques Product costing and commercial negotiations Vendor development and supplier management Understanding of Bangladesh (BD) sourcing and compliance requirements Software Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel Costing Sheets Basic knowledge of PLM systems ERP exposure preferred Behavioural Competencies

Strong negotiation and analytical skills Commercially driven with a quality-first approach Excellent communication and stakeholder management Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple vendors simultaneously Travel Requirement

Willingness to travel approximately 40% for vendor visits and production follow-ups across Tiruppur, Bangladesh, Noida, and other sourcing locations. Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Merchandising, or a related field. Relevant certifications in apparel sourcing or merchandising will be an added advantage. Experience

8–10 years of sourcing experience in the Fashion Apparel / Garment Manufacturing industry (Mandatory).

Experience in knitwear, woven garments, vendor development, costing, and production coordination is essential. Exposure to sourcing from Bangladesh and managing multi-location vendors will be preferred.
