Role & responsibilities

- Architecture & System Design: Design, architect, and deliver robust, scalable, and secure backend microservices using Node.js and TypeScript. Implement well-established design patterns (e.g., Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Repository, Factory, Dependency Injection).
- Database Management & Optimization: Model, structure, and optimize MongoDB databases. Write efficient aggregation pipelines, manage complex index strategies, and drive data architecture performance tuning.
- API Development: Build RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints adhering to best practices in performance, payload optimization, security, and versioning.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Enforce high standards for code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated unit/integration testing (Jest/Mocha), and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Technical Communication: Create clear, thorough technical documentation, API specifications, and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs). Articulate complex architectural choices clearly in written and verbal English.

Preferred candidate profile We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB to join our core backend engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance microservices and API ecosystems.

You will play a pivotal role in leading system design conversations, applying enterprise software architectural design patterns, and ensuring code scalability and maintainability. Strong written and oral English communication skills are essential, as you will frequently collaborate with cross-functional technical leads, product managers, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Technical Expertise

- Experience:



4 to 5 years of professional backend software engineering experience in enterprise or product-based environments.
- Node.js & TypeScript: Expert level fluency in Node.js and TypeScript, including advanced async patterns, generics, strict typing, and runtime performance optimization.
- MongoDB & NoSQL: Deep hands-on experience with MongoDB (schema modeling, indexing, aggregation frameworks, sharding/replication concepts) and ODMs like Mongoose or Prisma.
- Architecture & Patterns: Solid understanding of software design patterns (Creational, Structural, Behavioral) and architecture paradigms (Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Serverless).
- Testing & Tooling: Proficiency in unit/integration testing with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai, along with Git workflows and up-to-date package management.
- API Security: Deep knowledge of API authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).

Soft Skills & Communication

- English Fluency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to articulate architectural decisions and technical concepts clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and systematic approach to troubleshooting complex distributed system issues.
- Ownership & Leadership: Proven ability to own features end-to-end, drive technical discussions, and collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with distributed caching (Redis) and message queue systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Understanding of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) for full-stack perspective.
