Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software solutions for Guardian’s AI-powered EHS assistant platform. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bengaluru and involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build scalable back-end services, APIs, and integrations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust software architectures,



writing clean and efficient code, reviewing code for quality and security, and optimizing system performance and reliability.

Engineer will also contribute to technical decision-making, mentor junior team members, and support continuous improvement in development practices and tooling.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade applications.
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database design.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in contemporary frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor other engineers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in SaaS, enterprise platforms, or safety/compliance solutions is an advantage.
