Role Description The Senior Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ambur, responsible for overseeing all quality-related activities across the production of leather shoes and uppers. The role includes designing and implementing quality management systems, defining inspection standards, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and relevant industry regulations.

The Senior Quality

Manager will lead quality control teams, conduct regular audits on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods, and drive corrective and preventive actions when issues arise. Daily tasks involve collaborating closely with production, sourcing, and export teams to resolve quality concerns, analyzing quality data to reduce defects and rework,



and preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves training and mentoring staff on quality procedures, promoting continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting certifications or audits required by international buyers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quality management within footwear, leather products, or related manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes, inspection methods, and root cause analysis tools such as CAPA, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards, export requirements, and compliance frameworks applicable to leather footwear manufacturing.

Ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams, with solid communication and stakeholder management skills.

Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including the use of quality metrics, statistical analysis, and reporting tools.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, leather technology, quality management, or a related field; advanced certifications in quality (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO-related training) are an advantage.

Hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace in Ambur.

Experience interfacing with international buyers or auditors and managing customer quality requirements is highly beneficial.
