Position Summary TAARK builds electric vehicles for industrial and commercial applications- Electric load carriers, tippers, forklifts, and customized material handling solutions. We are looking for a hands-on QA professional to own product quality across the plant: from incoming material to Pre-Delivery Inspection, and from customer complaint to closed CAPA. This role is for someone who works on the shop floor, drives root cause to closure, and builds quality systems that scale with the company.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System

- Implement, maintain, and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001:2015; own documentation, internal audits, and audit readiness.
- Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement projects across quality, assembly, and stores; sustain 5S in QA areas.
- Establish and update SOPs, control plans, inspection standards, and quality records with full traceability.

Inspection - Incoming, In-Process, PDI

- Define and maintain incoming inspection points for bought-out parts, fabricated components, and EV aggregates (motor, controller, battery, harness, chassis parts).
- Establish in-process inspection checkpoints at critical assembly stages; define quality gates and stage-wise sign-off.
- Own the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) checklist and final vehicle sign-off before dispatch; no vehicle leaves the plant without QA clearance.
- Conduct product audits (cut-open / teardown audits)



on finished vehicles and aggregates to verify build quality against standards.

Customer Complaints & Warranty

- Lead customer complaint handling and warranty failure analysis end-to-end: field data collection, failed-part analysis, and closure communication.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis using 8D methodology - containment, root cause (Why-Why / Fishbone), corrective action, and horizontal deployment.
- Own CAPA: ensure every complaint and internal rejection converts into a verified corrective and preventive action, with effectiveness monitoring.
- Track warranty cost, complaint trends, and repeat failures; report monthly to management with reduction plans.

Engineering Change Management

- Participate in CIB (Change Implementation Board) reviews for ECNs: assess quality impact, define inspection changes, validate first pieces post-change, and ensure clean cut-over of old vs. new stock.
- Maintain change traceability - which vehicle serial numbers carry which change level.

Supplier & Team

- Work with purchase and suppliers on rejection feedback, supplier corrective actions, and incoming quality improvement.




- Guide and develop QA inspectors; build a second line within the QA function.

Skills

- Strong working command of 8D, Why-Why analysis, Fishbone, Pareto, and CAPA tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T; basics, and use standard measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, torque wrench, multimeter/insulation tester for EV electricals).
- Internal auditor capability for ISO 9001:2015 (certified internal auditor preferred).
- Data-driven reporting -MS Excel, quality dashboards, rejection and warranty trend analysis.
- Explicit communication with customers, suppliers, and shop floor teams in Tamil and English.

Knowledge
- ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements and documentation structure.
- Automotive quality practices - control plans, PDI standards, FIFO/traceability, inspection standards.
- EV fundamentals - motor, controller, battery, charger, wiring harness — or strong willingness to learn fast (training will be provided).
- Fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly process quality.
- Engineering change management (ECN/ECR process) and configuration control.

Candidate Profile

- Education: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics, or EEE.
- Experience: 6-10 years in QA within automotive, EV, or auto-component manufacturing (mandatory). Senior Engineer: 6-8 years. Assistant Manager: 8–10 years with team-handling exposure.
- Shop-floor oriented- someone who inspects, measures, and verifies personally, not from a desk.
- Ownership mindset: closes issues permanently, not temporarily.
