Senior QA Tester – EMR/EHR Systems

Experience: 7–12 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with deep expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. The candidate will be responsible for validating clinical workflows, patient records management, interoperability, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end testing of EMR platforms.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT test scenarios for EMR/EHR applications.

· Validate clinical workflows including patient registration, encounters, prescriptions, medication management, lab orders, clinical documentation, and discharge processes.

· Verify interoperability between EMR and external systems through HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and API integrations.

· Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of patient records and clinical data.

· Collaborate with clinicians, product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements.

· Participate in requirements reviews and identify test scenarios early in the SDLC.





· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards.

· Report defects, track resolution, and participate in root cause analysis.

· Support UAT, production validation, and release activities.

Required Skills

· Robust experience testing EMR/EHR platforms.

· Understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical operations.

· Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC standards.

· Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.

· Knowledge of SQL and database validation.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.

Preferred Skills

· Exposure to Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, Meditech, Athenahealth, or equivalent EMR systems.

· Automation testing experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.

· Healthcare compliance awareness (HIPAA, NABH, GDPR where applicable).

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
