Role Description The Senior Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune, responsible for leading and managing all procurement activities for precision steel tubes and related materials. The role includes developing and implementing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components. Day-to-day tasks involve vendor selection and evaluation, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production, quality, and logistics teams, and maintaining cost control without compromising quality.

The Senior Purchasing

Manager will also oversee purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, track market trends for steel and related commodities,



and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This position involves mentoring junior purchasing team members and contributing to process improvements and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong skills in procurement strategy, vendor management, negotiation, and contract management.

Proficiency in inventory management, demand planning, and cost control within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with supply chain management, logistics coordination, and import/export procedures.

Ability to analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance metrics.

Relevant experience in steel, metals, or heavy manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is an advantage.

Robust communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading purchasing teams.

Proficiency in ERP or procurement software and MS Office tools.

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in Pune.
