We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to transform the productivity and efficiency of our step ladder assembly operations.

Position Summary The Industrial Engineer Step Ladder Assembly will improve productivity, reduce assembly time,

standardize work methods, and design efficient assembly systems exclusively for the step ladder assembly department. This is a shop-floor intensive role requiring daily interaction with operators,

supervisors, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct time and motion studies for all ladder variants (27 step).

- Develop SOPs and standardized work instructions.

- Reduce assembly cycle time and eliminate bottlenecks.

- Improve pieces per man-hour and manpower utilization.





- Design productive assembly cells and workstation layouts.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen.

- Create visual work instructions and train operators.

- Track productivity and recommend improvements.

KPIs

Pieces Per Man-Hour (PPMH), Assembly Cycle Time, Daily Output, Operator Utilization, Line

Balance Efficiency, Material Handling Time, Defects, Rework, Productivity Projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering with 25 years of experience in assembly process improvement.

Skills

Time & Motion Study, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Work Measurement,

Ergonomics, Assembly Process Optimization, Advanced Excel; Power BI/AutoCAD preferred.

First 90 Days

Complete time studies, standardize assembly methods, establish productivity baselines, improve workstation layouts, introduce SOPs and visual instructions, implement jigs/fixtures, and deliver measurable productivity improvements.
