Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer role located in Pune District.

The Senior Mechanical

Engineer will lead the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems and assemblies for point-of-care diagnostic devices and imaging hardware.

Responsibilities include creating detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, performing tolerance analysis, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing for microfluidic, optical, and embedded hardware.



The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in electronics, firmware, biosciences, and AI to translate clinical and product requirements into robust mechanical solutions.

The Senior Mechanical

Engineer will oversee prototyping, testing, and design iterations, manage vendor interactions and manufacturing partners, and support documentation for quality, regulatory, and lifecycle management. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes and standards are also key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core mechanical principles to medical devices and precision instrumentation.

Demonstrated expertise in Machine Design, including mechanisms, enclosures, and assemblies for high-reliability, compact, and manufacturable products.

Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar), including 3D modeling, detailing, and generation of production-ready drawings.

Experience in Project Management for engineering projects, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, timeline management, and vendor communication.

Hands-on involvement in Research and Development (R&D;), including prototyping, experimental design, testing, and iterative optimization of mechanical subsystems.

Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal), and design-for-manufacture and assembly (DFM/D
