NExperience Required: 10–18 years (preferably in heavy industry/steel manufacturing)

NRole Objective:

NTo lead and implement proactive fire prevention, protection, and safety measures across the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices, thereby fostering a culture of safety and emergency readiness.

NKey Responsibilities:

NFire Safety & Emergency Response:

n
- Plan, implement, and monitor fire safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, extinguishers, suppression systems, etc.)
N
- Lead emergency preparedness drills including fire mock drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid training.
N
- Maintain and upgrade firefighting equipment and systems as per BIS/NFPA standards.
N
- Coordinate with local fire authorities and emergency services for compliance and support.
N

nSafety Management & Compliance:

N

n
- Ensure adherence to all fire & safety-related legal and statutory requirements (Factories Act, NBC, OHSAS/ISO 45001).
N
- Develop and update SOPs, safety manuals, and fire safety protocols for all plant operations.
N
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and fire hazard analyses.
N




- Investigate fire incidents/near misses and implement corrective actions.

nTraining & Awareness:

- Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
N
- Build a safety-first culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
N

nCoordination & Reporting:

- Work closely withplant operations, EHS teams, and facility heads to enforce fire and safety norms.
N
- Prepare monthly safety reports, fire inspection logs, and MIS dashboards for top management review.
N

nKey Requirements:

NEducational Qualifications:

N

n
- Degree/Diploma inFire & Safety Engineering from a recognized institute
N
- Preferably certified inNEBOSH, IOSH, or similar international safety standards
N

nExperience:

N

n
- 10–18 years of relevant experience in industrial fire safety, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing industries
N
- Hands-on knowledge of safety systems implementation and firefighting infrastructure
N

nSkills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and safety legislation
N
- Leadership in crisis and emergency handling
N
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in MS Officeand safety management tools
