About the Role

We are seeking a Senior / Lead Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to design, build, and govern our enterprise cloud platform. In this role, you will combine hands-on infrastructure engineering with high-level architectural leadership—leading the OCI Landing Zone deployment, defining cloud governance, building Terraform modules, and driving operational excellence across Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, and Security domains.

Key Responsibilities

- Architecture & Landing Zone: Design, build, and govern the enterprise OCI Landing Zone, including tenancy structure, compartment strategy, and IAM access controls.
- Core Cloud Engineering: Deploy and manage OCI Compute, Storage, Networking (VCNs, subnets, gateways, load balancers), and connectivity (VPN, FastConnect).
- Security & Compliance: Implement Zero Trust principles, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and logging, while leading Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks.
- Automation & IaC: Develop enterprise-grade Terraform modules, establish GitOps practices, and build robust CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Operations & Resilience: Drive observability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, troubleshooting, and cost optimization to maintain high platform resilience.




- Technical Leadership: Conduct architecture reviews, establish design patterns, mentor mid-level engineers, and serve as the technical authority for OCI operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 5–8+ years of core infrastructure engineering experience, with 3–5+ years focused specifically on OCI platform design, implementation, and Landing Zones.
- Deep OCI Expertise: Hands-on mastery of OCI Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, FastConnect, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and Vault.
- Automation & Tools: Advanced expertise in Terraform, Git/GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, Linux, and Python/Bash scripting.
- Networking & Security: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust architecture, and enterprise cloud security frameworks.
- Leadership: Proven ability to define architectural standards, drive cost/performance optimizations, and guide cross-functional technical teams.

Expected Outcomes

- Deliver a secure, scalable OCI Landing Zone with automated governance and security guardrails.
- Publish reusable IaC modules to streamline deployments and enable secure cloud consumption.
- Maintain high availability, operational excellence, and compliant cloud operations across the enterprise.
- Lead and elevate the team's technical capabilities as the primary SME for Oracle Cloud.
