Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Data Integration Analyst is responsible for supporting the Lab Service Line (LSL) enterprise strategy through the development, testing, implementation, and support of Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration solutions, automation tools, scripting, and reporting capabilities. This role collaborates closely with HCA and non-HCA IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, clinical subject matter experts (SMEs), and technical teams to ensure successful integration and optimization of clinical systems. The analyst supports the development of a comprehensive electronic patient health record by integrating a variety of clinical applications, including laboratory systems, instruments, billing platforms, and middleware solutions.
The position also ensures adherence to organizational security, software, and hardware standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Support Lab Service Line analysts, ITG analysts, clinical SMEs, and technical teams on clinical and patient care initiatives.
Design, test, and support integrations between various clinical applications and systems.
Support the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of integrated healthcare technology solutions.
Implement new features and functionalities released by vendors.
Provide second-level support for Service Desk escalations.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and integration solutions.
Assist in identifying implementation gaps and recommending strategies to improve system integration and data reporting capabilities.
Develop and support scripting solutions to meet Laboratory Information System (LIS) requirements.
Support the integration of
Meditech systems
Laboratory instruments
Outreach laboratory systems
Result delivery platforms
HCA and third-party billing systems
Vendor-provided clinical applications
Corporate and local middleware tools
Collaborate with internal developers and external vendors to define detailed business and technical requirements.
Assist in system architecture, solution design, and implementation planning.
Develop and execute solution evaluation strategies, including laboratory and field testing.
Participate in system-level testing, performance validation, and quality assurance activities.
Support the development of reports, dashboards, and data analysis solutions.
Assist in creating presentations and business reports for Lab Service Line leadership and stakeholders.
Recommend tools and testing environments that support project and reporting objectives.
Build strong relationships with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
Proactively identify and address day-to-day operational and technical challenges.
Contribute to enterprise-wide standardization efforts for clinical systems and integrations.
Ensure compliance with Division/HCA and PSG security, software, and hardware standards.
Required QualificationsEducation Bachelor's Degree in a Laboratory Science, Healthcare, Information Technology, Computer Science,
or related technical field.
Experience Minimum 3 years of experience supporting EHR software applications.
Minimum 3 years of experience integrating EHR products and healthcare systems.
Experience working in a clinical informatics environment.
Experience with system-level testing and performance evaluation methodologies.
Experience developing enterprise standards, processes, and best practices.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of HL7 standards and message processing.
Experience with interface engines and healthcare integrations.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Experience with Meditech and Meditech reporting tools.
Knowledge of dashboard development, data mining, and enterprise reporting tools is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance.
Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Meditech 5.6 and Expanse Laboratory modules.
Experience with healthcare reporting and business intelligence tools.
Clinical specialty certifications or healthcare technology certifications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of clinical operations and healthcare workflows.
Knowledge of HIPAA, CAP, JCAHO, and related regulatory requirements.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid customer service orientation.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and training abilities.
Advanced computer and technical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, operational leaders, developers, and vendors.
