Huki Lab is building an AI-native camera and editing app for iPhone. We are hiring a Senior iOS Developer to join as an early/founding iOS engineer and own the native product from camera capture and real-time processing to editing, export and App Store delivery.
Role and responsibilities
- Design and build the native iOS architecture for our camera and editor.
- Develop reliable camera capture workflows using Swift, AVFoundation and AVCaptureSession.
- Build high-performance real-time image/video effects and editing experiences.
- Own playback, timeline interactions, encoding, export, memory usage and performance optimisation.
- Integrate on-device and cloud AI capabilities into a fast, intuitive consumer product.
- Establish engineering standards for testing, release quality and App Store delivery.
- Work directly with the founders, ship rapidly and help shape the future iOS team.
Must-have experience
- 4+ years of production native iOS development using Swift.
- Hands-on experience building camera or video features with AVFoundation/AVCaptureSession.
- Evidence of a shipped consumer iOS app or a major production feature.
- Strong knowledge of UIKit and/or SwiftUI, concurrency,
memory management and performance profiling.
- Ability to take ownership from architecture through release.
- Willingness to work full-time onsite in Gurugram and relocate if required.
Preferred experience
- Core Image, Metal/MetalPetal, VideoToolbox, AVAssetReader or AVAssetWriter.
- Video editing/export, codecs, real-time media pipelines or GPU rendering.
- Instruments-based profiling and optimisation.
- Core ML, Vision or other AI/ML integrations on iOS.
