Must have skills required: REST API, SQL, Python

PrivaSapien is Looking for:**** PrivaSapien's Customer Success team is deploying the Consentium suite — Consent Collection Tool and Data Principal Rights Portal — across three managed environments (UAT, Production DC, and DR) at a large bank under DPDP Act and RBI IT Framework governance. The Senior Integration Engineer (L3) is the technical authority within the bank account, bridging the customer and PrivaSapien Engineering.

Role Overview The L3 Engineer owns product defect management, data integrity investigations, regulatory impact assessment of technical incidents, P1 incident command at the application layer, and representation of PrivaSapien in the bank's IT governance forums. Success is measured by Engineering never receiving a poorly qualified defect, the bank's IT leadership trusting this person's judgment, and L1/L2 capability growing such that L3 escalations reduce over time even as usage grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Own all confirmed and suspected product defects — reproduce independently in UAT before any production-defect claim is escalated to Engineering; write defect reports Engineering accepts without rework; track resolution to closure through UAT verification, DC deployment, and DR parity.
- Lead data integrity investigations — consent record inconsistencies, stuck rights requests, audit trail gaps — and determine root cause across product, integration, migration, and configuration layers.
- Assess DPDP and RBI regulatory impact for every significant incident — advise whether an event is potentially notifiable, whether re-consent is triggered, whether rights SLAs are at risk — and brief the bank's DPO office accordingly.
- Run P1 incident bridges at the application layer — coordinate L2, DevOps, PrivaSapien Engineering, and the bank's IT teams; own the application sections of post-incident reports to a standard acceptable to the bank's governance and audit teams.
- Represent PrivaSapien in the bank's IT governance, incident review,

and audit-response meetings.
- Perform performance analysis — distinguish database bottlenecks, infrastructure constraints, and code-level inefficiencies; engage the correct owning team.
- Serve as final internal escalation for L1/L2; systematically build their capability — every avoidable escalation becomes a knowledge base article and a training session.
- Participate in the bank's DR drills from the application side — validate that the Consent Tool and DPR Portal function correctly post-failover.
- Pre-validate every release before the bank's window — review release notes against known customer configurations, define UAT defect-triage criteria, and confirm fix parity across UAT, DC, and DR at closure.
- Maintain the account-level technical risk register; run scheduled proactive data-integrity sampling on consent records and audit trails across DC and DR.
- Lead the shift-left programme — set quarterly targets for moving ticket categories from L3 to L2 and L2 to L1.
- Communicate Engineering release plans to the bank's change advisory board; coordinate release windows with the bank's calendar.

Must-Have Requirements

- 5–7 years in technical/product support or implementation engineering for an enterprise software product.
- Hands-on REST API debugging — fluent reading of API logs, request/response cycles, status codes, and authentication failures.
- Advanced SQL — multi-table joins, data-comparison queries, and ability to distinguish data-state issues from product bugs.
- Proficient Python — diagnostic scripts, data validation tools, and ability to read product source code to understand defect behaviour.
- Hands-on log analysis with at least one of Kibana, Splunk, or ELK.
- BFSI domain exposure — has worked on or alongside banking systems (CBS, digital channels, middleware, KYC flows).
- P1 incident command experience — has led multi-party bridge calls with enterprise customers.

- Post-incident report writing to audit/governance standard.
- Defect lifecycle ownership — able to independently reproduce bugs in UAT, write accepted defect reports, and track to closure across all environments.
- Engineering graduate — CS or IT (BCA+MCA or equivalent considered if from a robust institution with genuine development background).

Good to Have

- DPDP Act working knowledge (S.6 consent, S.7 lawful basis, Data Principal rights, response SLAs); DPDP/privacy certification (CIPP/E, FIP) preferred — PrivaSapien will certify within 60 days of joining if not held at hire.
- RBI IT Framework familiarity — CAB approvals, change windows, audit-response formats.
- DevOps/Kubernetes literacy — able to read pod logs and understand container behaviour.
- JSON/XML payload analysis.
- Prior product company experience (not pure services/outsourcing).

Work Environment

- On-site, on-premise at the bank — CBD Belapur / Colaba, Mumbai.
- 6 days/week; alternate Saturdays off per bank calendar.
- Business hours + P1 on-call rotation.
- Bank-mandated background verification required (4–8 weeks process).

Success Metrics

- 100% of defect reports accepted by Engineering without rework.
- Post-incident reports accepted by bank governance without revision.
- L3 escalation volume declining quarter-over-quarter relative to ticket volume.
- Zero regulatory-impact incidents mis-assessed.
