We are looking for a Senior DITA Developer who lives and breathes structured content. You will design, build and maintain DITA-based documentation solutions for global enterprise clients — with Adobe Experience Manager Guides (AEM Guides) as our preferred CCMS platform.

This is a hands-on, client-facing delivery role. You will work directly with client teams, information architects and technical writers to move content from unstructured formats into clean, reusable DITA — and to publish it beautifully across channels. You will also help shape Taazaa's structured-content capability from the inside.

What you’ll do:

DITA Development & Information Architecture

- - Design and build DITA content models — topics (concept, task, reference, troubleshooting), maps, bookmaps and metadata strategies aligned to client needs.
- Implement robust reuse strategies using conref, conkeyref, keys/keyrefs and content references, keeping duplication low and consistency high.
- Set up conditional publishing with DITAVAL filtering and profiling attributes for multi-audience, multi-product documentation.
- Create and maintain DITA specializations and constraints (DTD/RNG) where client content demands it.

AEM Guides & CCMS Work

- - Author, manage and publish DITA content in Adobe Experience Manager Guides (XML Documentation for AEM).
- Configure output presets, baselines,



review workflows and translation workflows within AEM Guides.
- Support CCMS administration tasks — folder structures, user roles, versioning and release management.
- Advise clients on best practices for authoring, reuse and governance inside AEM Guides.

Publishing & Automation

- - Build and customize DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT) plugins for PDF, HTML5 and other output formats.
- Develop and maintain XSLT (2.0/3.0) transformations and PDF customizations (XSL-FO based).
- Automate publishing pipelines using Git-based workflows and CI/CD where applicable.

Migration & Client Delivery

- - Lead content migrations from unstructured sources (Word, FrameMaker, InDesign, HTML) into DITA — including analysis, mapping, conversion and QA.
- Work directly with client stakeholders: gather requirements, present solutions, run authoring workshops and hand over cleanly.
- Estimate effort, flag risks early and communicate progress clearly — you own your workstream end to end.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to Taazaa's internal DITA standards and playbooks.

What You Bring Must-Have Skills

- - 5–6 years of hands-on DITA development experience in enterprise documentation environments.
- Deep knowledge of the DITA 1.3 standard — topic types, maps, keys, conref/conkeyref, DITAVAL, subject scheme and metadata.
- Strong DITA-OT experience — running, configuring and customizing transforms and plugins.
- Solid XSLT (2.0/3.0), XPath and XML Schema/DTD skills.
- Expert-level use of Oxygen XML Editor/Author, including framework customization.
- Proven experience migrating unstructured content into DITA at scale.
- Working experience with at least one enterprise CCMS.
- Clear written and spoken English — this is a client-facing role with US-based stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

- - Exposure to AEM Sites/Assets and how Guides fits into the broader AEM ecosystem.
- Experience with localization workflows (XLIFF, translation management).
- Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript or shell)



for content processing and automation.

Nice to Have

- - Experience with other CCMS platforms (IXIASOFT, Heretto, Tridion Docs, Paligo).
- Familiarity with docs-as-code approaches, Markdown/Lightweight DITA (LwDITA).
- Prior consulting or professional-services experience.
- Certification in DITA, AEM or a related Adobe technology.
