Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Senior CI/CD Engineer to design, implement, and maintain end-to-end continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This role will own the automation that powers our build, test, and release workflows, and will collaborate with engineering, QA, and platform teams to improve reliability, performance, and transparency across our delivery process. Candidate must also have deep understanding of Networking concepts such as Ethernet and TCPIP.

Detailed Description:

- 1. Strong coding skills in Bash, Python, and Groovy.
- In addition, we are specifically looking for hands-on experience with:
- Jenkins (including pipelines and agents)
- Maven
- Docker or Podman
- Moderate-level Linux administration
- A good grasp of networking concepts would also be very valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
- Develop and support backend automation services that power pipeline orchestration and release workflows.
- Integrate source control, build systems, test frameworks, and artifact repositories into a reliable delivery process.
- Improve pipeline reliability, performance, and scalability through monitoring, optimization, and root-cause analysis.
- Build and maintain operational tooling and APIs that improve developer productivity and release transparency.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and platform teams to define and enforce CI/CD best practices.
- Apply CI/CD governance and engineering best practices, including reliability patterns and secure configuration management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce lead time and increase deployment confidence.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Required: Deep understanding of Networking concepts such as Ethernet and TCPIP.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing,



and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for large-scale applications.
- Robust backend software development and/or automation service experience to power pipeline orchestration and release workflows.
- Proficiency with source control systems (e.g., Git), and experience integrating with build systems (e.g., Maven/Gradle, Bazel), test frameworks, and artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory).
- Deep understanding of build, test, and release automation concepts, including feature flags, canary deployments, blue/green deployments, and rollback strategies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) as they relate to CI/CD.
- Expertise in monitoring, tracing, and logging for CI/CD pipelines, with ability to perform root-cause analysis and optimization.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) to develop automation and tooling.
- Ability to design and maintain robust APIs and operational tooling to improve developer productivity and release transparency.
- Knowledge of secure configuration management, secrets management, and governance practices within CI/CD.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and platform engineering concepts.
- Experience with release management, change management, and compliance considerations in a regulated or semi-regulated environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and align on best practices.

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with enterprise-scale release orchestration platforms (e.g., Argo CD/Argo Workflows, Jenkins X, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
- Observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry).
- Security-focused CI/CD practices (SCA, SBOM generation, secure by design pipelines).
- Knowledge of performance testing and quality gates within CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with platform engineering and developer experience improvement initiatives.
