Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications. You will work on a CRM & Trading Platform integrated with MetaTrader 5 (MT5), developing business-critical modules such as payments, wallets, trading account integrations, commissions, and third-party services. This is an ownership role requiring solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build reliable production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.

Build and optimize REST APIs and backend architecture.

Develop and maintain wallet, payment, transaction, and commission-related modules.

Integrate MetaTrader 5 (MT5), payment gateways, and other third-party APIs.

Design efficient MongoDB schemas, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and transactions.

Ensure data consistency, security, performance, and scalability.

Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Troubleshoot production issues, optimize queries, and improve application performance.

Collaborate with frontend, product, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Skills





5–6 years of experience in Node.js and Express.js.

Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and REST APIs.

Expertise in MongoDB & Mongoose, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, transactions, and query optimization.

Experience with payment gateway integration (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, or similar), webhooks, and payment reconciliation.

Strong understanding of wallets, transactions, ledgers, idempotency, atomic operations, Decimal128/financial data handling, and audit trails.

Experience with JWT, RBAC, bcrypt, and secure authentication practices.

Hands-on experience with Socket.IO/WebSockets, Kafka or background job processing.

Good knowledge of Linux, PM2, Nginx, Git, production deployments, logging, and monitoring.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with MetaTrader 5 (MT5), Forex/Trading platforms, commission or financial systems.

Experience with Redis, BullMQ, NestJS, Docker, CI/CD, Cloudinary, Jest/Vitest, and Microservices.
