Senior Analytics Engineer – Microsoft Data & BI (Power BI | Azure | Fabric) | Remote, CET ? Remote | Full-Time | Aligned to German (CET) Working Hours We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to own our Microsoft data and BI ecosystem end-to-end — from Azure and Microsoft Fabric architecture down to the Power BI dashboards business stakeholders rely on every day. This is a high-ownership role for someone who's equally comfortable designing scalable data models and translating messy business requirements into clean, trustworthy reporting.

Platform Ownership — Design and maintain end-to-end Microsoft data platforms
BI Development — Build robust Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions
Advanced Modeling — Develop advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations
Semantic Architecture — Design semantic models using star schema and Composite Model patterns; optimize DirectQuery performance and implement Row-Level Security (RLS)
Architecture — Design and manage Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and data warehouse architectures
Data Integration — Consolidate data across Business Central, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Azure, and eCommerce platforms
Governance — Lead data quality, governance, validation,
and cleansing initiatives
BI Standards — Establish semantic layer governance, consistent metric definitions, and lineage documentation across reporting assets
Platform Administration — Administer Power BI Service (workspaces, datasets, refresh policies, capacity planning)
Scalable Modeling — Create scalable data models supporting analytics and operational reporting
Stakeholder Partnership — Work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting and analytics solutions
Team Enablement — Mentor team members and lead knowledge-transfer sessions on BI best practices ✅ Requirements
5+ years in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or Data Engineering
Expert-level Power BI experience
Strong SQL and data modeling capabilities
Hands-on Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data stack experience
Experience integrating ERP, CRM, and operational systems
Solid understanding of data governance and quality management
Experience with DirectQuery performance optimization and Row-Level Security (RLS) design
Track record establishing BI governance frameworks — metric definitions, semantic layer standards, and documentation practices
Excellent stakeholder communication skills ⭐ Preferred
Dataverse experience
Power Platform experience
PL-300, DP-600, or related Microsoft certifications
