Role Description This is a full-time, in office Senior Accountant role based in Lucknow.

The Senior

Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Accountant will monitor budgets, support financial forecasting, and provide data-driven insights to leadership for decision-making.





Responsibilities also involve coordinating with internal teams and external partners, supporting audits, improving financial processes, and maintaining accurate, well-documented financial records.

Qualifications

Strong foundational skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic planning.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of applicable tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.

Several years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibilities at a senior or supervisory level.

Comfort working in a mission-driven, education-focused organization and aligning financial practices with long-term sustainability.
