We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our growing team!

Role & responsibilities

- Independently prepare and lodge Australian Company, Partnership, Trust, and Group Tax Returns, including financial statements and supporting workpapers.
- Work closely with senior management to prepare Board packs, management reports, and financial analysis, providing insights that support clients in achieving their business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and lodgement of various grant applications, including R&D; incentives and other Federal and State government initiatives.
- Perform quarterly reconciliations of GST, Superannuation, PAYG Withholding, and other statutory liability accounts.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, and Division 7A returns, ensuring all required documentation and workpapers are completed accurately.
- Review, supervise, mentor, and train junior accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
- Manage and execute month-end accounting procedures accurately and within deadlines.
- Resolve client and internal queries promptly while meeting agreed turnaround times.




- Document and maintain accounting and operational processes through detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and internal quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- CA (Chartered Accountant) qualified.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an Accounting Public Practice environment and/or Australian Accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting and tax software, including XERO and MYOB.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders across the business.
- Thorough understanding of Australian Accounting and Bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Experience in reviewing financial statements prepared by junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to mentor, train, and onboard new team members; prior team leadership or coaching experience will be highly regarded.
