A Senior AC Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains advanced HVAC systems (including commercial chillers, VRF/VRV, and ducted units). They mentor junior staff, oversee complex installations, and ensure work complies with local building and safety codes. This is a high-level role requiring robust troubleshooting expertise. Key Responsibilities

- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions in commercial and domestic HVAC systems.

- Maintenance & Repair: Perform and supervise preventative maintenance, gas charging, compressor replacements, and part installations.

- Team Leadership: Manage floor scheduling, allocate daily tasks to junior technicians, and provide technical guidance on complex repairs.

- Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks adhere to environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA standards) and local building codes.

- Customer/Client Service:



Interact professionally with clients, estimate time and material costs, and provide service documentation.

Job Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited HVAC trade program or equivalent technical certification.

- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in advanced HVAC and refrigeration.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electrical schematics, brazing, pipe-fitting, and VRF/VRV system commissioning.

- Physical & Logistics: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and possess a valid driver’s license.
