About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android engineer who can take ownership of complex modules within a high scale consumer application. You will design, build, and maintain features that serve millions of daily users, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and code quality. Beyond writing code, you will influence technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and raise the engineering bar across the team.

What You Will Do

You will own end to end delivery of features, from technical design through development, testing, and release. You will architect scalable, modular solutions in a large Java and Kotlin codebase and make sound tradeoffs between speed and long term maintainability. You will drive improvements in app performance, crash rates, ANRs, and app size, using data from analytics and monitoring tools.

You will review code, mentor SDE-1 engineers, and contribute to team wide engineering practices. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape how features are built, not just execute on specs.

What We Are Looking For

- 3 to 6 years of professional Android development experience




- Deep expertise in Java with robust fundamentals in the Android SDK and application framework
- Proven experience designing and shipping features in large, complex, multi module codebases
- Strong grasp of architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture
- Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization
- Experience with dependency injection, networking layers, and offline first design
- Track record of debugging hard production issues using tools like Crashlytics, Perfetto, or Android Profiler
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions

Good to Have

- Working proficiency in Kotlin alongside Java
- Experience with Jetpack components, Coroutines, or RxJava
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management for large user bases
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and feature rollout strategies
- Contributions to app modularization, build time optimization, or developer tooling
