We are looking for an Android developer who is passionate about building high quality mobile experiences used by millions of people every day. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that directly impact how users order food, track deliveries, and interact with the app in real time. This is a hands-on role where you will write production code from week one and grow rapidly through mentorship and ownership.
What You Will Do
You will develop, test, and ship new features for a large scale consumer Android application. You will write clean, maintainable Java code and follow established architecture patterns across the codebase. You will collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow between client and server.
You will debug and fix issues reported through crash analytics and user feedback, and continuously improve app performance, startup time, and memory usage. You will participate in code reviews and learn from a team of experienced mobile engineers.
What We Are Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of professional Android development experience
- Strong command of Java and core Android SDK components including Activities, Fragments, Services, and Broadcast Receivers
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON parsing, and networking libraries such as Retrofit or OkHttp
- Familiarity with multithreading and asynchronous programming on Android
- Understanding of the Android app lifecycle, memory management, and common performance pitfalls
- Experience with Git and standard development workflows
Good to Have
- Exposure to Kotlin and willingness to work in a mixed Java and Kotlin codebase
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt
- Experience with RxJava or Coroutines
- Knowledge of unit testing and UI testing frameworks
- Apps published on the Play Store or robust personal projects
