Role Overview :
As a Scrum Master, you will serve as the primary facilitator for cross-functional engineering teams tasked with delivering high-stakes banking products. You will navigate the complexities of regulatory environments while ensuring that development cycles remain efficient and aligned with business objectives. By bridging the gap between technical execution and stakeholder expectations, you will drive the delivery of robust financial platforms that impact millions of end-users.
This role requires a presence in our Gurugram office, where you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-velocity delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and consistent delivery velocity.
- Manage the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners to ensure user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Shield the development team from external interruptions and resolve blockers that impede progress on core banking modules.
- Track and report on Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and burn-down charts to provide stakeholders with transparent progress updates.
- Ensure all development processes remain compliant with internal and external regulatory reporting standards specific to the financial services industry.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and Kanban methodologies to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to manage expectations and align technical output with broader business goals.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrate 6 - 10 years of skilled experience in managing Agile delivery within the Banking and Financial Services domain.
- Possess deep expertise in utilizing Jira for project tracking, backlog management, and generating performance analytics.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in navigating the nuances of Core Banking systems and the associated regulatory requirements.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts within high-pressure environments.
- Show a proven ability to implement and refine Kanban and Scrum frameworks to improve team productivity and output quality.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying process bottlenecks and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, complemented by recognized Agile certifications.
