Key Responsibilities1. Collection Management & Cataloging

- Select, order, and catalogue recent materials, including books, periodicals, databases, audio-visual media, and digital resources.
- Maintain, organize, and prune existing collections using standard classification systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress).
- Manage subscriptions for electronic journals, databases, and digital media platforms.

1. Patron Services & Research Assistance

- Provide reference services and guide patrons in locating books, articles, and research materials.
- Instruct patrons in using library catalogues, online databases, and digital tools.
- Process loan transactions, memberships, interlibrary loans, and resolve account inquiries.

1. Program Development & Community Outreach

- Plan and host educational programs, storytimes, book clubs, workshops, and literacy events.
- Collaborate with local institutions, schools,



or academic departments to support educational initiatives.
- Promote library services and events through newsletters, social media, and local community outreach.

1. Administrative & Technical Operations

- Manage library budgets for material acquisition, software licenses, and community programs.
- Supervise library technicians, assistants, and volunteers.
- Maintain library technology equipment (computers, printers, software, Wi-Fi networks).

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
