SAP MM Consultant – Production Support (P1/P2 Tickets) Job Location - Remote Experience: 6–10 Years Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Consultant to provide production support for critical business operations and handle P1 and P2 priority incidents. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) , with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve high-priority issues within SLA timelines.

The consultant will work closely with business users, cross-functional teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth functioning of procurement, inventory, and quality processes in the SAP setting. Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Incident Management

Handle P1 and P2 priority tickets related to SAP MM modules.

Ensure timely resolution of incidents in line with agreed SLA/KPI targets.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and propose preventive actions.

Coordinate with ABAP, BASIS, integration, and business teams for issue resolution.

Support ticket triage, impact assessment, prioritization, and escalation management.

SAP MM Functional Support

Provide support for procurement and inventory management processes including:

Purchase Requisition

Purchase Order

Goods Receipt / Goods Issue





Invoice Verification

Vendor Master

Material Master

Inventory Management

Stock Transfers

Subcontracting and Consignment processes

Analyze and resolve issues related to pricing, account determination, and release strategies.

Support integration points between MM and FI/SD/PP modules.

Configuration & Process Support

Analyze business requirements and perform minor configuration changes where applicable.

Support testing and validation of fixes, enhancements, and transport movements.

Work with development teams for functional specifications, defect analysis, and custom enhancement support.

Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and maintain incident resolution documents, RCA reports, and knowledge articles.

Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

Ensure business process continuity and compliance with organizational standards.

Required

Skills

6–10 years of experience in SAP MM functional consulting/support

Solid experience in production support and handling P1/P2 tickets

Positive knowledge of SAP MM processes:

Procurement

Inventory Management

Invoice Verification

Material Master and Vendor Master
