Safety Specialist Job Responsibilities Handhold and provide onsite support for implementation/auditing the Safety Management system (SMS) elements at a Pharma industry client location, with the following roles and responsibilities: Play active role in interpretation of client’s safety standards (including PTW/HIRA standards) for ease of implementation

Work with plant team in SMS element implementation

Technical support and direction for rolling out the Safety Culture improvement action plans.

Provides assurance and insights of project progress to client’s leadership.

Guiding element champions and taskforce team for rolling out the SMS element plan, including on-field data collection

Participate actively in SMS team meetings to guide / monitor the quality of meeting

Work with shopfloor employees in implementation of SMS standards at field level

Conduct field visits and audit to verify the effectiveness of implementation





One to one discussion with client’s SMS implementation team to understand the challenges and support them with expertise

Conduct awareness program on SMS elements Monitoring of KPIs Preparing Safety Technical training modules where applicable

Submission to daily progress report to Chola MS Risk Project Manager based on activities planned

Submit monthly MIS including the activities carried out, element progress update and effectiveness of interventions to Project Manager and client.

Qualification Chemical Engineering

Degree ME Industrial Safety (or) Safety Qualification (PDIS or ADIS) Work Location Gujarat Experience 15+ Years of experience with valuable exposure to Safety Management System in Pharma industry
