POSITION OVERVIEW :

To lead the Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE).

To advise and assist the management team in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise, prevention of personal injuries and maintaining a safe working environment in factory, offices and reduction of property/fire risk.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Ensure safe work environment and comply with applicable Statutory and Regulatory Requirements (Factories Act / Rules, Environment Acts / Rules, JSPCB Compliances) and other government / company driven initiatives
- Conduct site safety inspections and job hazard analysis
- Identify and drive initiatives required to improve safety performance
- Setup and lead safety committee
- Formulate onsite emergency preparedness plan with identified emergency situations and conduct emergency mock drills
- Report and investigate accidents and near-miss incidents and do CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Action) for the same
- Maintain necessary records relating to accidents, and dangerous occurrences
- Monitor various safety work permits issued and ensure safety regulations
- Monitor safety performance and report HSE matrix and MIS




- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and coordinate for transfer of best practices
- Design and conduct suitable HSE trainings for safety awareness across the plant
- Liaison with Statutory Authorities & complying with procedures / documentation related to various compliances w.r.t. HSE.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Level: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical) OR Graduate in (Physics or Chemistry)
- Professional Experience: Diploma OR Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS)
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience in working with manufacturing industry set up
- Knowledge of Proactive Safety Measures and implementation of preventive safety
- Experience in handling HSE awareness & implementation in manufacturing industry
- Hands-on experience in Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) & Corrective Action & Preventive Action (CAPA)
- Experience in handling various audits & completing action plans for improvements
- Knowledge of applicable laws related to HSE and related compliances
