- Rules and validations
- Page flows and user journeys
- Referral and authority rules

- Rating factors and multipliers
- Limits, deductibles/excesses, sums insured, exposures
- Loadings, discounts, commissions, fees, and taxes where applicable
- Minimum premium rules
- Referral thresholds
- Decline / no-quote conditions
- Manual overrides and underwriter adjustments
- Ensure calculation differences are analysed, explained, documented, and agreed with actuarial/pricing stakeholders.
- Support reconciliation between spreadsheet results and Rulebook results.
- Ensure that pricing outputs are accurate, explainable, auditable, and repeatable.

3.

Rulebook Functional

Testing:

- Lead functional testing of Rulebook-configured products and workflows.
- Validate product screens, data capture fields, dropdowns, mandatory fields, validations, and conditional logic.
- Test page navigation, page linking, quote journeys, and user workflows.
- Validate underwriting rules, business rules, referrals, appetite rules, authority logic, and exception handling.
- Test submission, quote, negotiation, bind, endorsement/MTA, renewal, cancellation, and document generation flows where applicable.

4.

Test Scenario

Design and Coverage:

- Create detailed test scenarios and test cases based on:
- Business requirements
- Pricing spreadsheets
- Underwriting guides
- Product specifications
- Configuration documents
- Actuarial assumptions
- User stories
- Integration specifications

- Ensure both positive and negative scenarios are covered.
- Design edge-case scenarios for complex specialty risks.
- Build reusable test packs for regression testing.
- Ensure test coverage includes business-critical risks, high-premium scenarios, authority-sensitive cases, and complex calculation paths.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, configuration, test cases, defects, and sign-off evidence.

5.

Defect

Management and Root Cause Analysis:

- Lead defect triage across Rulebook configuration, business rules, pricing logic, integration, and data issues.

- Facilitate UAT defect triage calls with London-based stakeholders.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, open issues, and decision points in clear business language.
- Ensure business sign-off is evidence-based and aligned to agreed acceptance criteria.

- Coordinate end-to-end testing across Rulebook and connected systems such as:
- Policy administration systems
- Broker portals
- Document generation systems
- Data warehouses
