As part of this vision, the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team plays a critical role in strengthening governance, risk management, assurance, regulatory compliance, and information and privacy protection across Woodside's global operations. Through people, process, data and technology, we enable informed decision-making, drive continuous improvement, and support trusted and sustainable business outcomes.
About the role The Risk and Regulatory Compliance Analyst supports the delivery of Woodside's enterprise-wide Risk and Regulatory Compliance frameworks by providing risk analytics, reporting, data governance, compliance insights, and continuous improvement support.
The role partners with stakeholders across GRC and the business to enhance risk visibility, regulatory compliance performance, governance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Risk and Regulatory Compliance
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of Risk and Regulatory Compliance frameworks.
- Maintain working knowledge of Risk and Regulatory Compliance processes within OurWMS.
- Support monitoring of regulatory change and emerging risk trends.
- Assist with investigation, reporting and analysis of non-compliance events.
- Support Risk, Control and Regulatory Compliance focal points through provision of guidance, reporting and governance activities including routine and ad hoc reporting, presentations and management information
- Contribute to compliance reviews, maturity assessments and governance activity
Data Governance & Analytics
- Govern and maintain risk, control and regulatory compliance data within WiRCS and other GRC systems.
- Conduct master data analysis to identify data quality issues, gaps, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytics to support decision-making.
- Monitor key risk indicators, compliance metrics and process performance measures.
- Connect and analyse data across multiple systems to derive meaningful insights.
- Support AI, automation and digital initiatives that enhance GRC reporting and monitoring capabilities.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, risk management, law, data analytics, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5+ years’ relevant professional experience in Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Governance, Assurance, Audit, Data Analytics or related disciplines
- A strong understanding of data analytics, reporting systems, and business intelligence tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience in developing corporate reports, dashboards, and performance insights for business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Confidence to work autonomously, exercising sound judgement and escalating where appropriate.
- Deliver work against agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Effectively collaborate with peers and stakeholders across GRC, and other functions as required, to support effective delivery of their work scopes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of GRC processes, systems and reporting
