Role Description This is a full-time, in office Relationship Manager role based in Ambala Tehsil.
The Relationship
Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail and/or business customers by understanding their financial needs, recommending appropriate banking products, and ensuring high-quality service. Day-to-day activities include customer onboarding, cross-selling and up-selling loans, deposits, cards, and digital banking products, and monitoring account health to reduce risk and improve portfolio performance. The role involves regular customer meetings,
resolution of queries and service issues, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines.
The Relationship
Manager will work closely with branch teams and product specialists to meet sales targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the branch’s overall business growth.
Qualifications
Strong customer relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.
Sales and cross-selling abilities, including experience in promoting banking products such as loans, deposits, credit cards, and digital services.
Solid understanding of retail and/or SME banking operations, basic credit assessment, and risk awareness.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English and local language preferred.
Comfort with digital tools and banking platforms, including mobile and internet banking applications.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage multiple customer relationships, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
Prior experience in banking, financial services, or customer-facing sales roles is preferred but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
