Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading contracting and construction company based in the UAE to recruit a highly skilled Rebar Detailer who will play a key role in delivering accurate reinforcement detailing for large-scale construction projects. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in reinforcement steel detailing, shop drawings, and bar bending schedules. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, project, and site teams to ensure reinforcement detailing is compliant with project specifications, industry standards, and construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and interpret structural drawings, engineering plans, and project specifications to prepare reinforcement detailing.

- Produce accurate rebar shop drawings for structural components including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other reinforced concrete elements.
- Prepare detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) with precise bar shapes, lengths, quantities, and cutting details.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, and site teams to clarify technical queries and resolve detailing issues.
- Update reinforcement drawings based on design revisions, RFIs, client comments, and engineering modifications.
- Ensure all detailing complies with applicable international standards and project-specific requirements, including ACI, BS, Eurocode, and IS codes.
- Optimize reinforcement layouts to improve constructability, minimize material wastage,



and enhance project efficiency.
- Perform reinforcement quantity take-offs and support material estimation activities.
- Maintain organized documentation of detailing revisions, approvals, and drawing records.
- Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to facilitate timely material ordering and project execution.
- Ensure timely delivery of detailing packages while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in rebar detailing, reinforcement detailing, or structural detailing within contracting, engineering consultancy, or steel fabrication companies.
- Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Hands-on experience with one or more rebar detailing software such as Tekla Structures, Revit Structure, CADS RC, ASD, or RebarCAD.
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, structural drawings, and reinforcement detailing principles.
- Sound knowledge of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), reinforcement quantity estimation, and cut length calculations.
- Familiarity with international standards and codes including ACI, BS, Eurocode, and IS Codes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.
