– Test Automation Engineer / QA Automation Engineer (3-5 Years Experience)

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer / QA Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in test automation, API testing, Python scripting, and CI/CD-based test execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test solutions, executing manual and automated testing activities, validating databases, and supporting quality assurance processes within an Agile environment.

Experience with REST API testing, Python automation, Jenkins pipelines, and test management tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based automated test scripts and frameworks.
2. Create, execute, and maintain REST API test suites using Python, PyTest, and Insomnia.
3. Perform automated and manual business testing to ensure software quality and functional correctness.
4. Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
5. Design and maintain automated test execution pipelines using Jenkins.
6. Validate backend systems through database testing and data verification activities.
7. Manage test cases, test execution, and defect tracking using Jira and Xray.
8. Support regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
9. Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design.

Provide operational support during critical releases and production validation activities.
11. Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required Skills

- 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong experience in Python scripting and test automation development.
- Hands-on experience with PyTest framework.
- Experience in REST API Testing and REST test maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with Insomnia or similar API testing tools.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Jenkins pipelines for automated testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience in manual business testing and test execution.
- Experience in database validation and SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Xray test management.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in QF Test maintenance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of automotive domain testing is an added advantage.

Support Requirement

- Based on project requirements, the candidate may be required to work in the CET (Central European Time) time zone
- Service support may extend to weekend based on operational needs.
- On-call support required during Indian public holidays to support operational activities.
