We are looking for an experienced Python Engineer with Enterprise Storage Experience (5 to 10 years) to join our infrastructure automation team. In this role, you will bridge up-to-date software automation with enterprise storage systems, leveraging Python, Unix/Linux environments, and storage administration practices.

You will automate storage operations, support High Availability (HA) Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) setups, assist with mainframe integration assets (JCL), and manage enterprise compliance and archiving workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

Storage

Automation &

- Monitoring :
- Write and maintain robust Python scripts to automate storage pool monitoring, health checks, capacity alerts, and infrastructure toil reduction.

2. Storage &

- Infrastructure Support :
- Support HA HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and seamless data lifecycle management across disk, tape, and NFS systems.

3. Compliance &

- Archiving :
- Manage and archive audit and compliance evidence using long-term NFS storage solutions in accordance with enterprise policies.

4. Procurement &

- Technical Proposals :
- Prepare Requests for Bids (RFBs) and technical specifications for enterprise storage, disk, and tape solutions.

Mainframe Integration Assets :

- Create and validate JCL (Job Control Language)



execution packages to coordinate background storage and data movement jobs.

6. Documentation &

- Process Execution :
- Maintain technical documentation, continuous integration workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational guides.

Required Skills &

Qualifications :

- Python Expertise : 5 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience in Python (including scripting, task automation, and storage/system management libraries).
- Operating Systems : Deep expertise in Unix/Linux shell environments, CLI utilities, and bash scripting.
- Version Control &
- CI/CD : Proficiency with Git and continuous integration tools like Jenkins for managing and deploying automation workflows.
- Storage Fundamentals : Demonstrated understanding of enterprise storage architectures, data archiving concepts, and NFS protocols.
- Analytical Skills : Excellent problem-solving, system troubleshooting, and technical documentation abilities.

Preferred / Bonus Skills :

- Legacy &
- Mainframe Tooling : Hands-on experience or familiarity with JCL Programming and REXX scripting.
- Enterprise Storage Tech : Hands-on experience in Storage Administration, specifically with IBM HSM, physical/virtual Disk &
- Tape Storage, and NFS Storage infrastructures.
- Experience operating within hybrid enterprise deployment models in Bangalore.
