Senior Test Automation Engineer Playwright, Python & Wi-Fi Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright Automation, Python Test Automation, and Wi-Fi Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks for broadband, networking, and Wi-Fi products while ensuring high product quality through end-to-end validation, debugging, and performance testing.

This role requires hands-on experience in Playwright-based automation frameworks, Python scripting, Wi-Fi technologies, and customer-facing issue investigation. The candidate will collaborate closely with Product Development, QA, and Customer Support teams to identify root causes, automate test scenarios, and ensure timely resolution of production and customer-reported issues.

Mandatory Skills

Test Automation

- Strong hands-on experience in Playwright Automation Framework development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python Test Automation.
- Experience in designing and maintaining Page Object Model (POM) based frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated testing.
- Experience with cross-browser and end-to-end (E2E) test automation.
- Exposure to automation best practices, framework architecture, and reusable test design.

Wi-Fi & Broadband Domain

- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies, including:
- Wi-Fi Basics
- Wi-Fi Mesh
- TR-98
- TR-369
- Experience in Wi-Fi product validation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with TR-369/TR-98 testing, including Agent and Controller validation.
- Understanding of broadband gateway/router testing and network device behavior.

Networking

- Strong knowledge of:

- TCP/IP Protocol Suite




- Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking
- Network Troubleshooting and Packet Analysis

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable Playwright and Python-based automation frameworks.
- Design, execute, and optimize automated test suites for web applications, networking devices, and Wi-Fi platforms.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for recent features and enhancements.
- Perform functional, end-to-end, performance, and soak testing activities.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve product and customer-reported issues.
- Work closely with Product Development and QA teams to understand product architecture and validate new functionalities.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide detailed defect reports.
- Support production issue investigations and ensure timely closure of customer escalations.
- Drive automation coverage improvements and quality initiatives across releases.
- Take ownership of technical issues and coordinate effectively with customer and engineering teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality processes, testing standards, and best practices.
