:

A Junior Executive of Purchase is responsible for assisting with the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services by preparing purchase orders, maintaining records, and coordinating with vendors.

Key duties include conducting market research for potential suppliers, collecting and comparing quotations, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely receipt of materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage procurement data.

Key responsibilities

- Vendor management: Assist in sourcing new vendors, maintaining and updating the vendor database, and communicating with existing suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

- Order processing: Prepare and process purchase orders, enter order details into internal systems, and confirm order details with suppliers.

- Record maintenance: Keep accurate and updated records of purchases, including invoices, delivery information, and inventory levels.

- Price and quality control: Collect and compare quotations from different vendors and monitor the quality of received products.

- Support and coordination:



Support senior buyers and the procurement team by providing information on any deviations in price or quantity, and collaborating with other departments like warehouse and finance.

- Market research: Conduct research on new suppliers, market trends, and potential cost-saving opportunities.

Required skills and qualifications

- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field like Business Administration is often preferred.

- Experience: Previous experience in a purchase or procurement-related role is beneficial.

- Technical skills: Proficiency in using purchasing software (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with online sourcing platforms is helpful.

- Soft skills: Solid communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
