Role Description The Public Relations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for strengthening the organization’s public image and visibility. This role involves developing and implementing PR strategies, drafting press releases, coordinating media coverage, and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.

The Public Relations

Manager will oversee communications for campaigns and events, prepare talking points and briefing materials, and ensure consistent messaging across online and offline channels. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring media mentions, managing responses to public inquiries, creating content for announcements and updates,



and working closely with program and fundraising teams to highlight project impact. The role also involves organizing press conferences and public engagements, tracking PR metrics, and providing regular reports and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Strong Public Relations and Media Relations skills, with experience managing organizational reputation and external stakeholder engagement.

Ability to plan and execute Strategic Communications, including PR campaigns and messaging aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.

Proficiency in writing and managing Press Releases, briefing notes, and other media-facing documents.

Excellent Communication skills, including transparent written and verbal communication and the ability to present to diverse audiences.

Prior experience in NGO, social impact, or advocacy sectors is beneficial, particularly related to women’s empowerment or community development.

Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Comfort working on-site in Coimbatore and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
