Your Role – What You'll Do

As a Buying Qualified in our Factory Direct Procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement activities for Direct Materials in our Distribution Transformer factory. You'll work within the framework of Siemens policies and guidelines to meet business goals and deliver customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement of transformer components: Bushings, Tap Changers, Measuring Instruments, Control Panels, hardware, gaskets, and other Class C items.
- Vendor Development: Identify and qualify potential suppliers, develop alternate sourcing options, and prepare rate contracts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams such as Engineering, Planning, Quality, Commercial, Sales, and SCM, and external partners including vendors and service providers.
- Strategic Sourcing: Deliver on the 6 R's – Right Quality, Quantity, Time, Source, Price, and Place.
- Cost & Compliance: Analyze user requirements, estimate costs, review budgets,



comply with technical specifications, and ensure adherence to EHS and safety standards.
- Performance Review: Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through regular assessments and feedback.
- Digital Tools: Utilize Siemens procurement platforms, and conduct e-auctions independently.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing of direct commodities for Power & Distribution Transformers.
- Technical Skills: Basic cost estimation, vendor evaluation, TOCO analysis.
- Tools: Familiarity with Siemens procurement systems and e-Auction platforms.
- Knowledge: EHS norms for factory and site environments.
- Soft Skills: Strategic mindset, team player, creative, solution-oriented, and proactive in supplier engagement.
