Role Description The Professor Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences role is a full-time, on-site position based at the GD Goenka University campus in Gurugram. The role involves leading independent and collaborative research projects in pharmaceutical sciences, securing research funding, publishing in high-impact journals, and contributing to the university’s research profile. Daily responsibilities include designing experimental studies, mentoring and supervising doctoral and postgraduate research scholars, guiding undergraduate research, and managing laboratory activities in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.





The professor will contribute to curriculum development, deliver lectures and seminars in specialized areas of pharmaceutical sciences, participate in academic committees, and engage in industry and institutional collaborations. Additional tasks include presenting research at national and international conferences, supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities, and contributing to outreach and community engagement aligned with the university’s vision.

Qualifications Advanced academic qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PhD required), with a solid record of peer-reviewed publications and funded research.

Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas at molecular level of drug discovery and development, formulation development, pharmacology or pharmacognosy.

Experience supervising and mentoring postgraduate and doctoral researchers, and supporting undergraduate research projects in an academic or research institution.

Ability to develop research proposals, secure grants, and manage research projects, budgets, and reporting requirements.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for teaching, publishing, grant writing, and presenting at conferences and academic forums.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to build industry relevant technology.
