A Production Supervisor in the corrugated box industry manages the daily manufacturing operations of cardboard boxes (3/5/7-ply), FFG (Folder Gluer) machines, and corrugators.

In Pune, this role focuses on shift-level production targets, quality control (BF, GSM testing), waste reduction, and manpower scheduling.

Key Job Responsibilities

- Production Planning & Execution: Supervise end-to-end corrugation manufacturing to achieve daily/monthly targets while ensuring OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

- Machinery Management: Monitor the performance of corrugator machines, die-cutting, stitching, and FFG machines to minimize downtime.

- Quality Control: Enforce quality standards (Paper GSM, Bursting Factor, and Board BS) and minimize material wastage and defects.





- Workforce Supervision: Manage the shift floor, allocate duties to machine operators, and conduct safety and compliance training.

- ERP/SAP Operations: Coordinate material issuance, tracking, and daily production logging via ERP/SAP systems.

Typical Requirements

- Education: Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience: 3 to 7 years in a corrugated box manufacturing plant.

- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of 2-ply, 3-ply, and 5-ply operations, slitter scorers, and printer slotters.
