Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end production activities of railway sleeper manufacturing operations.

- Ensure daily production targets are achieved as per production planning and dispatch schedules.

- Supervise batching, casting, de-moulding, curing, stacking, and dispatch activities.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Plant teams for uninterrupted production operations.

- Monitor productivity, wastage control, material utilization, and process improvements.

- Ensure adherence to production SOPs, quality standards, and safety practices.

- Handle manpower planning, shift management, and contractor workforce supervision.

- Monitor concrete production parameters and ensure compliance with railway and customer specifications.

- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine breakdowns and downtime.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and MIS.

- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, moulds, machinery, and plant equipment.





- Maintain housekeeping and 5S practices across production areas.

- Support audits, inspections, and client visits related to production activities.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and operational guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Solid knowledge of railway sleeper production and precast concrete manufacturing processes.

- Good understanding of batching plants, mould handling, concrete technology, and curing processes.

- Ability to manage large production teams and shift operations.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices.

- Experience in production planning and process optimization.

- Basic knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Office preferred.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
