Product Manager Cloud Platform (IaaS & PaaS Services)

Role Summary The Product Manager – Cloud Platform is responsible for defining, building, and managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings within a private, public, or sovereign cloud workplace. The role owns the product vision, roadmap, service lifecycle, customer experience, business outcomes, and adoption strategy while working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, security, compliance, sales, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Define the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for cloud platform services.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging technology trends in cloud computing.
- Develop and prioritize product initiatives aligned with business objectives and customer demands.
- Own product lifecycle management from ideation to retirement.

Cloud Service Portfolio Management Manage and enhance cloud platform offerings, including:

Requirements & Product Definition

- Gather business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and service specifications.




- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to convert requirements into technical deliverables.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence are incorporated into product designs.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

- Engage with enterprise customers, government entities, and regulated industry clients.
- Act as the voice of the customer in roadmap decisions.
- Drive executive discussions, workshops, and product demonstrations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product plans effectively.

Platform Governance & Compliance

- Ensure cloud services meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams on:

- ISO 27001

- SOC 2
- PCI-DSS

- NESA/UAE IA

- GDPR

- Data Sovereignty Requirements
- Drive security-by-design principles across platform offerings.

Agile Product Ownership

- Own product backlog and prioritization.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and release management.
- Define MVPs and phased delivery plans.
- Ensure product releases deliver measurable business value.

Commercial & Business Ownership

- Develop business cases and pricing strategies.
- Monitor product profitability, adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
- Support presales teams with product positioning and solutioning.
- Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and customer presentations.





Product Analytics & Continuous Improvement

- Define and monitor KPIs and product success metrics.
- Analyze platform utilization and customer feedback.
- Drive continuous service improvements and innovation initiatives.
- Track competitive offerings and market trends.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Product Management certification preferred.

Experience

- 8–15 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Product Management.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience for cloud or platform products.
- Experience managing enterprise-grade IaaS and PaaS platforms.
- Experience working with cloud technologies and modern platform ecosystems.
