Product Designer - The Oddment

Surat, Gujarat | Full time The Oddment is a design materials brand working with Green Foam Panel (GFP), glass fibre, and carbon fibre to create sculptural furniture, lighting, and architectural pieces. We're looking for a product designer who wants to develop new forms and physically build them. What you'll do:

Design recent pieces for our furniture and object collections, from concept through form

Build and iterate physical prototypes yourself, including foam formers, lamination, and hands on fabrication

Work alongside our existing GFP fabricator to execute builds and solve construction challenges as they come up What we're looking for:

A design education with real hands on fabrication or workshop experience. We care more about what you've physically built than how polished your renders are

Basic structural intuition, an instinct for how a form needs to be supported, not just how it looks

Comfort with an iterative, hands on process, since first prototypes rarely work and that's expected Portfolio requirement: please include photos of physical prototypes or objects you've built yourself, not only digital renders.
