Job Summary

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer – Frontend with 6+ years of experience to lead the design and evolution of scalable, high-performance web applications and frontend platforms. This role is responsible for driving frontend architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and enabling multiple product teams to build reliable and maintainable applications.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in React.js, Next.js (14+), TypeScript, Micro Frontend Architecture, Module Federation, and Nx Monorepo. They should have a proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges, leading large-scale technical initiatives, and driving engineering excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Define and drive the long-term frontend architecture and technical roadmap across multiple products.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure frontend platforms using React.js, Next.js (14+), Micro Frontends, Module Federation, and Nx Monorepo.
- Establish frontend engineering standards, coding guidelines, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions,



and technology evaluations.
- Drive frontend modernization initiatives and continuously improve platform scalability, maintainability, and developer experience.

Engineering Excellence

- Own the frontend platform, shared component libraries, design systems, and common engineering utilities.
- Define strategies for performance optimization, accessibility, security, and Core Web Vitals.
- Drive improvements in build systems, deployment pipelines, testing strategy, observability, and engineering productivity.
- Lead the investigation of critical production incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement long-term reliability improvements.
- Identify and reduce technical debt through continuous architectural improvements.

Collaboration & Mentorship

- Mentor Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, and Tech Leads through technical coaching and design reviews.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Influence technical decisions across teams and ensure alignment with organizational engineering goals.
- Support hiring by participating in technical interviews and helping define engineering competency standards.

AI & Modern Engineering Expectations

- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI-native development workflows.
- Ability to leverage LLMs for architecture exploration, code generation, debugging, refactoring, documentation, testing, and code reviews while maintaining engineering quality.
- Experience optimizing AI workflows through effective prompt engineering, context management, and efficient token usage.
- Drive AI adoption by establishing engineering best practices, governance, and measurable productivity improvements across teams

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience building and scaling contemporary frontend applications.
- Expert knowledge of React.js, Next.js (14+), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience designing and implementing Micro Frontend Architecture, Module Federation, and Nx Monorepo (or similar monorepo frameworks).
- Proven experience designing scalable frontend architectures, reusable component libraries,



and design systems.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), accessibility, and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with modern state management solutions such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Context.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication (JWT/OAuth), frontend security best practices, and scalable application design.
- Experience with modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience defining frontend testing strategies using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Proven experience leading architectural decisions, solving complex production challenges, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and driving long-term technical improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in FinTech, Banking, or other high-scale consumer-facing products.
- Experience designing and maintaining Design Systems, shared component libraries, or internal frontend platforms.
- Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture and API Gateway patterns.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, CDN strategies, and frontend deployment best practices.
- Experience implementing frontend observability and monitoring using tools such as Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, or similar.
