Role Description The Principal for the Education Department (B.Ed) will provide academic and administrative leadership for the department on a full-time basis. This on-site role, located in Punjab, India, includes overseeing curriculum planning, academic delivery, and quality assurance for B.Ed programs. The Principal will supervise faculty, guide pedagogical practices, monitor student performance, and ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing departmental operations, facilitating faculty recruitment and development, promoting research and innovation in education,



and maintaining effective communication with university leadership and external stakeholders. The role also involves fostering a positive learning environment, driving community outreach initiatives, and aligning departmental goals with the university’s vision and policies.

Qualifications

Advanced academic qualifications in Education, preferably a Master’s or Ph.D. in Education along with B.Ed, from a recognized institution.

Proven experience in academic administration, educational leadership, and faculty supervision at college or university level.

Strong knowledge of teacher education curricula, regulatory frameworks (e.g., NCTE norms), and quality assurance in higher education.

Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, department management, and implementation of academic policies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for engaging with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.

Experience promoting research, innovation in pedagogy, and integration of contemporary teaching-learning methods.

Capability to mentor faculty and students, support career development initiatives, and encourage ethical academic practices.

Familiarity with educational technology, data-driven decision-making, and basic administrative software tools.
