Summary

We are looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Application Engineer Siemens NX CAD with 5–7 years of experience in CAD, product design, and engineering consulting. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them evaluate, adopt, and maximize the value of Siemens NX solutions.

This is a customer-facing presales role involving technical consulting, solution demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC) execution, workflow analysis, customer presentations, training delivery, and close collaboration with the sales team to drive business growth.

The candidate should possess strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to articulate the business value of digital engineering solutions to customers across industries such as Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial Machinery, Heavy Equipment, and General Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Presales

- Deliver compelling demonstrations of Siemens NX CAD tailored to customer requirements.
- Conduct customer discovery sessions to understand engineering workflows, pain points, and business objectives.
- Recommend suitable Siemens NX solutions based on customer needs.
- Lead Proof of Concept (POC) activities and benchmark exercises.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, solution proposals, and product comparisons.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses with technical inputs.

Customer Consulting
- Analyze existing product development processes and recommend digital engineering improvements.
- Guide customers on CAD best practices, model reuse, design automation, MBD, and digital product development.




- Advise customers on migration strategies from legacy CAD systems.

Training & Enablement
- Deliver instructor-led training programs for Siemens NX CAD.
- Develop customized training content based on customer requirements.
- Conduct workshops, technology days, and customer awareness sessions.
- Mentor customer engineering teams on advanced NX functionalities.

Technical Support
- Provide Level-2 technical guidance for complex CAD-related issues.
- Support software implementation and user adoption.
- Coordinate with Siemens GTAC and internal technical teams for issue resolution.

Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales to identify opportunities and drive technical wins.
- Assist in preparing proposals, solution architecture, and effort estimations.
- Support marketing activities such as webinars, seminars, and exhibitions.
- Build demonstration datasets and reusable technical assets.

Required Technical Skills

Siemens NX

Strong hands-on experience in:
- Part Modeling , Assembly Design , Drafting , Surface Modeling , PMI / MBD, Design in Context and Process Specific applications.

Engineering Knowledge
- Mechanical Design Principles
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;)
- Manufacturing Processes / Casting / Machining /Fabrication / Plastic Components / Weldments

PLM Knowledge

Valuable understanding of

- CAD Data Management
- Revision Management
- Product Lifecycle Management concepts

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in CAD application support, implementation, or engineering design.
