Job Title: Sample PPC Manager Department: Production Planning & Control (PPC) – Sampling Reporting To: DGM Job Purpose: To manage and oversee the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of sample orders in the gems and jewellery division. The role ensures timely execution of sample pieces with strict adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements, supporting both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Planning & Scheduling  Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production plans for sample jewellery orders.  Coordinate with CAD, Design, Merchandising, and Procurement teams for sample requirements.  Ensure raw materials (gold, diamonds, gemstones, findings) and tools are available as per plan. 2.

Process

Coordination  Monitor sampling workflow – CAD, CAM, Wax, Casting, Assembly, Setting, Polishing, and QC.  Prioritize urgent and high-value customer sample orders to meet deadlines.  Coordinate with quality and design teams for approvals and modifications.

- Monitoring & Reporting  Track progress of each sample order and ensure timely completion.  Maintain MIS reports – sample lead times, delays, rejections, and rework.  Highlight bottlenecks (material shortage, technical issues, and manpower gaps)



and implement solutions.
- Team & Resource Management  Supervise the sampling PPC team and ensure workload distribution.  Train staff in effective planning, scheduling, and follow-up practices.  Ensure compliance with safety, security, and handling procedures for precious materials.
- Process & Efficiency Improvement  Analyze productivity and turnaround times in the sample line.  Introduce process improvements to reduce delays and enhance accuracy.  Support management in SOP development and ERP/Software implementation for PPC.

Key Skills &

Competencies:  Strong knowledge of gems & jewellery manufacturing processes (from design to final finishing).  Expertise in production planning, material coordination, and order tracking.  Valuable understanding of diamonds, gemstones, gold alloys, and their handling requirements.  Excellent coordination skills between cross-functional departments (Design, CAD, Merchandising, QC).  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.  Proficiency in Excel / EMR / Jewellery Management Software.  Leadership and team management skills.
