Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMO professional with solid expertise in Cost Control and Project Controls to support the planning, monitoring, and successful delivery of projects. The role will be responsible for project budgeting, forecasting, cost performance monitoring, schedule control, reporting, risk management, and governance to ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Project Controls
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Track project progress against approved baselines and identify schedule variances.
- Establish project control procedures, standards, and performance metrics.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Conduct schedule reviews and support project recovery planning when deviations occur.
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance frameworks and project management methodologies.
Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Analyze project expenditures and track actual costs against approved budgets.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions for cost overruns.
- Monitor commitments, accruals, invoices, and project cash flow.
- Develop cost reports, dashboards, and financial performance summaries.
- Support budget approvals and change control processes.
Planning & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly project performance reports.
- Consolidate project portfolio status reports for management review.
- Support project reviews, steering committee meetings, and management presentations.
- Maintain project documentation, risk registers, and action logs.
- Generate management dashboards using project control tools.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify project risks and opportunities impacting cost and schedule.
- Maintain risk registers and support mitigation planning.
- Monitor scope changes and assess impact on project cost and timelines.
- Facilitate change management and approval processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, engineering teams, contractors, and senior leadership.
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure effective communication of project status, risks, issues, and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Cost Control, or Project Planning roles.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and project lifecycle management.
- Experience working on EPC, manufacturing, infrastructure, industrial, energy, or capital projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies.
